#A2Z Challenge - K is for Kite

Hello again!

Today's prompt starts with a K, my favorite letter, yes only because my name starts with a K too HAHAH! But I am not gonna be shameless and write my name on my nails LOL.

So it's gonna be kite! It has been ages and ages since I last flied a kite! I had two coats of a textured polish from Nicole by OPI - On What Grounds? then using white acrylic paint I drew on a fat diamond and then drew on the string. The kite itself wasn't obvious since its white so I outlined it with a dark blue polish OPI - Dating A Royal.

I do enjoy nail art that connects from nail to nail, it's like a finished story or image LOL. Love or nay about this mani? Tell me below :)

Hi there~

Today's prompt.. we're going to one of the coolest Asian country, JAPAN! There are a few things that pop up to one's mind when I mention the country, like sushi, sakuras, Mt Fuji and the Japanese flag. And yes, these are the things that I translated into my mani by painting them!

For all the nails I had two coats of OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls. My sushi were created using black acrylic paints and theegg sushi I used OPI - I Can't Cope-acabana and added a stripe of black down to represent the seaweed. The salmon sushi was drawn using Sally Hansen - Fired Up and adding some white to it for the stripes. The cucumber sushi roll was done by adding a dot of Revlon - Trendy in the middle.

As for the sakuras, I drew the branches with Revlon - Totally Toffee and added flowers using Revlon - African Tea Rose and adding OPI - MBSW dots in the middle. I also added some group of dots using Revlon - Apricot Nectar to show the seeds and Revlon - Trendy again for the leaves.

I also drew some sakura at the sides of the Mt Fuji nail. The mountain was drawn using acrylic paints only. I used black and white and mixed up to a gray color and then added more white for the highlight and the black for some contrast to look real.

For the flag, I simple added a red circle in the middle using Revlon - China Flower. I used my smallest dotting tool and using a stipling motion, created the circle.

I am pretty happy with how these turned out! Tell me what you think too :)

#A2Z Challenge - I is for Igloo

Halu you!

Let's get cold today! I have thought long and hard what to do for this prompt. 'I' is a much harder word to come up with than I thought! I finally settled on an igloo LOL. And my drawing of it is not exactly pretty.

Anyway, I had two coats of B Squared Lacquer - Royal (reviewed here) and the white glittery topper is NCLA - Ever After In LA.

I used blue and white acrylic paint for the igloo. Bare in mind that I had a top coat over Royal before doing the igloo (so that mistakes can be erased using water). I mixed up blue and white paint to allow for different shades of blue.

I did wished that I had bade the igloo a little lighter, more white than blue :/ Oh well, it turned out pretty cute anyway :D And the white glitter topper from NCLA did mimic snow and glistening galaxy background of the north pole pretty well!

Here's a close up shot of my little igloo, which I copied from a Google image.

Tell me what you think of this mani, and are you a fan of the cold? Share with me in the comments!!

Hi hi!

No place can replace, home. My idea of a home, is some where I am happy to be at and full of love, living a colorful life. I've always wanted to stay out in the countryside with the nature. So, today's mani depicts this scene in my head.

I drew on some grass, a tree and some birds to depict my love for nature. I also drew on a house filled with rainbow colors, because life can be so enjoyable!

For the house, I created the shape with black acrylic paint, then filled it in completely. Then I went back in after it dried with white acrylic paint, leaving a black boarder. I let it dry and then went in with OPI - I Can't Cope-acabana, Sally Hansen - Fired Up, OPI - Dating A Royal and Sinful Colors - Verbena and applied them in stripes of colors.

For the grass, I used two shades of green, primarily Revlon - Trendy, a dark green and for the highlights I mixed Trendy with Essie - Navigate Her. The tree trunks were outlined in black acrylic paint and the tree trunk filled in with Revlon - Totally Toffee and the highlights adding some white polish to it. And of course, the birdies were drawn with black acrylic paint!
Tell me what a home to you mean in the comments :D

#A2Z Challenge - G is for Giraffe

Hello there!

Today I have for you an animal print! Not something that is usual on my blog! More interestingly, it is a giraffe print!

I started the print off with a base of OPI - I Can't Cope-acabanaand using Revlon - Trendy to inmitate some giraffe pattern spots. I just went with the flow, didn't really copy any images.

As for my accent nail, I decided to try out a full giraffe painting. For the background, I used OPI - Dating A Royal and added a layer of China Glaze - Fariy Dust over it to show the dark starry night in the safari. Then I went in with the previous colors and drew out a cartoon-ish giraffe. Feels like a primary school kid during her art lesson LOL.

The size of my nails, or should I say my proportion of the giraffe might've been a bit too big? Idk, it's a little weird HAHA! Anyway, here are some macro shots just for pleasure's sake :D

#A2Z Challenge - F is for Fishtail

Hello hello!
It's something new to the blog, first time doing the fishtail design! I first saw this over from Lucy's Stash with a great pictorial too.
For this manicure, I would say it is revolved around the glitter accent which I used Sephora X - Turbulence.

This polish topper has black and bright light teal blue glitter from micro sized to big hexagons! Here's a delicious macro shot for your eyes *winks*
I laid it over OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls (yaaaas again) and hence thought I should use white, blue and black for the color combination of my fishtail design. Ta-da!

I used Kure Bazaar - Turkoise for the blue and Barry M - Espresso for the black (:

My lines may not be really perfectly straight, but I like it either way so oh well :P I also used Revlon - Matte Top Coat to give this look a rather unique look. All the photos here are mattified! I'm loving how it turned out on macro hehe!

And here is the overall look of my manicure for this week!

I do very much love this combination, thanks to the inspiration of the glitter! Tell me what you think, cause initially I was afraid the bright blue glitters won't go well with a white base LOL.
