Hello there!
I've been MIA these past few months because I am on Internship at Digimind (as some of you might have seen on my Instagram post). Now, I have decided to take more effort into doing my nails and posting more nail art.
I had one mission today - use polish I have not worn before. Quickly, I knew what I wanted and grabbed Wet Seal "Mint Liqueur" and MODI "70". Greens are not usual colors but I shall make it a challenge! Doing a simple gradient seemed fit for this mint and army green, and so I begun 😄

Hello all! Time for some Stamping Saturdays!

Today I have a gradient stamping which I haven't done in a while. I had on a base of white and then did a gradient with Revlon "African Tea Rose" and "Apricot Nectar". It did get me a couple of coats of sponging to get to the opacity that I liked.

Next I used Bundle Monster BM712: Flowers For Brains stamping plate and Konad white stamping polish to stamp on the design.

After that I decided to sprinkle some sparkle so I added a layer of INM Nails "Silver Holographic Top Coat" to all of my nails. You could totally see that sparkly dust on my nails in the macro shots below :)

Hi all!

To be completely honest, I did wanted to join last months HPB link up but time totally got a hold of me! So, this month I made it a point to participate :) For those still a little lost, HPB is a Facebook group of nail addict bloggers who get together and discuss about polish. I must also admit that I have not been active there... Ooops, but well at least I'm here to join the link-up for May!

The theme was Neutrals & Neons. I chose to work with Butter London "Cuppa" and Orly "Beach Cruiser". I swear the life of me that the pink is neon, it's just that the camera didn't pick that out well! Believe me, it's really NEON, Google it okay? :D

I first applied one ocat of Cuppa and then did a gradient with these two shades. I would've stopped there but felt something was missing and went ahead to choose a stamping plate. I went with BP-50 plate from BornPrettyStore (use LSTX31 for 10% off!!) and stamped on the leafy design with Konad white stamping polish.

And then... I added my recently bought holo top coat, INM "Northern Lights" in silver. It is similar to China Glaze "Fairy Dust" but more sparse which is great to see the design beneath. For my other nails I painted a solid colors and ten added the holo top coat!

Heyah!

Today's manicure is pretty intense... I spent about three hours on this manicure. This is called the GRADIENTCEPTION by Christine from Simplynailogical. She does crazy funny videos and this is just one of 'em!

This manicure requires four layers of gradient plus top coat, it is a lot of work. Not to mention that each gradient needs a few coats to get opacity! I chose this design because it's stripes day for Glam Nails Challenge May today! I sure did make it a challenge for myself to do this design :P I even changed up the original design a bit by changing the direction of the stripes!

I must say that with patience it is do-able. I chose to do just two colors and used the following polishes. Essie "Bikini So Teeny", Nails Inc "Baker Street", Essie "Fiij" and Essie "Cute As A Button". Also I used my all time trust worthy Glisten & Glow "HK Girl Top Coat".

Was this manicure worth the time? I'd say yes! I am particularly very satisfied with the blue gradient on my middle nail :) I'm pretty proud of myself to do this nail art look!

Whoop whoop! Here's by far my most favourite nail look from all the Stamping Saturdays that I've done *grins*

First off I had one coat of Barry M "Spring Green". Then I created a gradient/ombre using a damp cosmetic sponge with Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" and Barry M "Spring Green". I tried to concentrate the white near the tips of my nails.

Then I added a top coat to blend the colors and prep it for stamping. After letting it dry for 15 minutes, I stamped on a floral pattern image using BP68 stamping plate from BornPrettyStore.com and Konad's White stamping polish.

So the image blends into the white tips which I think was pretty cool! I really did love this look very much :D

I feel that this mani is rather easy to recreate and you should really try it out with different colors and stamping images, share it with me if you do try them out :) Here's what the other stamp ladies have done:

Hello there! It's time for some revival of the nail art!

I have done a glitter gradient this time around, something I haven't tried since the start of nail art and I don't know why :/ Either way I did it today!

So, this is how it turned out!

I used Three Beauties London - Glitter Gala. I never seen or heard of this brand before and thought I give it a try, I got this polish last year and somehow didn't get the chance ever to use it idky LOL.

It is basically a glitter topper in a clear base with silver, purple, black and turquoise medium small hex glitters, all of the same size. It also has shards of glitters, irregular shaped ones which are tiny and aren't a lot in the polish.

I used a sponge to dap on the glitter at the tips, so that the clear base polish is being soaked up by the sponge leaving me the glitter to play around. The last step was to pick out individual glitter and place them where I found were too bald.
I did the glitter gradient over my nail, without any base color so I felt the natural nail base went quite nicely with the glitter gradient, What do you guys think?

Hi ya there!

Today I have a water marble design! Haven't had one in a long time eh? So today I would be using Charlie's Rad Lacquer polishes. I used Trust, a slate blue metallic like polish and Veau's Voodoo a nice purple holographic polish.

I had a black base on for this mani, which I used a-England - Camelot. For the water marble you can see how I did it at the end of this post where I'll embed my Instagram video tutorial for you :) First let's have a look at how my mani turned out!

I overall do like this look, the only thing that bugs me is that the black undie that I had were quite visible as I was cleaning up the mess around the cuticles, the black showed through :( Sadness aside, here are some happy macros :)

Well hello there! It's been a while, hasn't it??
I recently participated in a collab with many others based on a RAINBOW theme! I mean, I have not done this specific theme before so I thought it right just to try it out for fun! So first off, it was hosted by IG@nailslikelace and she opened this collab to everyone, how great! And so this is the collage of all of our work, all the colors are pretty!

There I am, on the bottom row, third from the right! HAHA! I had a hard time finding myself too LOL!

But for a clearer picture... here is a close up shot! I did a vertical gradient of rainbow colors across four nails and topped it off with China Galze - Fairy Dust! I did had to re-try multiple times with the gradient, but the outcome was nice so meh, it's okay!

For this mani I used Rimmel London - Hip Hop (red), OPI - I Can't Cope-a-cabana (yellow), Barry M - Spring Green (green), Barry M - Cyan Blue (blue), Kure Bazaar - Queen (indingo).

Yes, I missed out orange because I figured red and yellow would blend into an orange so I didn't need it LOL.

This mani was fun and I enjoyed trying out my first vertical gradient! Still have to practice more to get used to it tho!

Continuing on the challenge! Today is butterflies, a truly amazing and beautiful creature that somehow many girls/guys are afraid of (mostly insects!) but I just adore butterflies, and sometimes I hold my hand out hoping this creature can just land on my finger LOL.

So, for today's mani I started off with a pastel ombre using all Barry M polishes in Berry I/C, Strawbetter I/C and Blue Moon. After which I added one layer of China Glaze - Fairy Dust to girly-fy the whole look hehe.

Next, I prepared some 'decals' by using the reverse stamping method. I used Born Pretty Store plate QA66 and BP48. Then I added some dots to show the flow of the butterfly.

Here's the next challenge... SUNSET!

I was pretty excited about this one because it's been a long time since I did a sponge on gradient. So, for today's prompt I added some city skylines and a house (actually in Singapore it's called the HDB). Take a look at what I did and I'll explain more in a while :D

I started off with one coat of white polish base using Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I then used a sponge and painted on three colors, yellow orange and pink. I ditched my neons and went with creme polishes instead. I used OPI - I Can;t Cope-acabana, Sally Hansen - Fired Up and Sally Hansen - Bubblegum Pink. I did the sponging around 5 times to gain opacity. Then I used a topcoat to smooth out the design. I then used black and white acrylic paints and my Pure Color No 10 brush to draw on the buildings and the windows using a dotting tool. For my accent nail I drew on some telephone lines which I see in foreign countries, Singapore is far too small to have space for those LOL. And for my middle finger, if you couldn't figure out, the stick coming out is actually the bamboo rod that we use to dry our clothes from our flats. I know Hong Kong does the same but I am not sure of other countries.. Whoo! It's already day 10?! Today's gradient themed nails is something new and fun... reciprocal gradient. I followed My Simple Little Pleasures YouTube tutorial. I did a base of white - light blue - dark blue gradient (from cuticle to tip). Then, I placed three striping tape down my nail. Then, I changed the order of the colors to dark blue - light blue - white.

You can see the video tutorial that I linked above and watch the tutorial, I think it'll be easier for you to understand. In any case, I feel that reciprocal gradients are awesome. They turned out easier than I thought and it does give the WOW effect, lookie at the macro shot!

Hello my dear friends! Today I have a nail art that includes my favorite color, BLUE! Well, for today's manicure I used only OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, an off-white and OPI Dating A Roya, a navy blue polish.

I simple created an ombre of blue and white using a make up sponge which I dabbed and rolled over the nail. I needed 4 coats of the sponging (some even more) to build up the opacity. And for the accent ring finger, I created a simple water marble design using the same polishes. I do love how this turned out!

Hello friends!

Gradient is up on the list and I have it for you here! I realised that the purple and the pink blended so well it looked like one color in the picture. To top it off, I used CG Fairy Dust which I have seen many other nail artist who do the same.

I am also very happy how I improved on my cuticle clean-up (especially gradient manis). Well, practice makes perfect right?
