Hello hello!

This is the last of the September challenge (I know it's October already but hey I still made the effort to finish this off!). I am using Nicole by OPI "Sand In My Shoe" and "On What Grounds?"

I did a very simple design because I didn't want to be too ambitious with textured polishes since I do not use them as often. So I pulled out my trusty dotting tool and started to do a polka dot design on my nails. Nothing much to explain except for working quickly! Textured polishes do tend to dry very fast.

Today's prompt starts with a K, my favorite letter, yes only because my name starts with a K too HAHAH! But I am not gonna be shameless and write my name on my nails LOL.

So it's gonna be kite! It has been ages and ages since I last flied a kite! I had two coats of a textured polish from Nicole by OPI - On What Grounds? then using white acrylic paint I drew on a fat diamond and then drew on the string. The kite itself wasn't obvious since its white so I outlined it with a dark blue polish OPI - Dating A Royal.

I do enjoy nail art that connects from nail to nail, it's like a finished story or image LOL. Love or nay about this mani? Tell me below :)

Here's to more marbling :D This technique is one of my favourites, I just enjoy it pretty much, despite some failures!

For today there is something I have never tried before, which is water marbling using textured polishes. I am using Nicole By OPI - Sand In My Shoe and On What Grounds?

I did one coat of the yellow, Sand In My Shoe then I marbled alternating both colors and just rnandomly did some designs. I think that for textured polishes it is best not to try the flower water marble patterns as it may get kinda messy, like my pinky LOL.

Contrasting to my pointer finger design, the patterns are much clearer and distinct, don't you think? You can see the close up shot below :D

I don't own a lot of textured polishes, a few and I do like them. The Nicole By OPI Roughles are more textured than the ones that I own. It was still okay for me though! And I love the colors. Sand In My Shoe reminds me of eggs HAHA the yellow and orange just reminds me of a good breakfast! The blue is lovely too! Tell me what you think of textured polishes in the comments :)

For this manicure, all you need is striping tape and two textured polish. Here I used Charlie's Rad Lacquer - Peace Ain't Easy and Essie - Lots of Lux. I applied two coats of the base color (Peace Ain't Easy) and waited for it to completely dry. Then, I placed stripes in different lengths horizontally accross my nail after which I painted on the second color (Lots of Lux).

IMMEDIATELY after applying the second color (I repeat, immediately), pull off the stripes carefully. You can use your fingers to remove them or use tweezers. I personally like to use tweezers. For this manicure I didn't add any top coat as it'll smooth out the texture.

Hi every one!

As promised this is the swatch for my second textured polish of my stash! Let me start off by saying that I LOVE THIS. I like that that texture wasn't overly done and I do love the sparkles! There are green, purple and blue glitter and it's so gorgeous! Not to mention, the formula and opacity was GREAT!
