Today I am sharing with you a nail art look I came up with using BornPrettyStore's water decals (pattern C134) that I picked out. It is only about a dollar and I felt that it was an easy way to glam up your nails but also personalizing it as much as you want! So this was how my manicure turned out and I really do love it! To begin with I chose the pattern I loved the most which was already awesome. Then I changed up my look by cutting pieces of the decal and placing them on my tips. You'll see how I did them in my video tutorial below!

Some close up shots for you to see how the decals look like. I feel that it is really nice as it does not look at all too pixelated. I did find this manicure very refreshing. Maybe because it's all blue LOL!

I had on two coats of OPI "My Boyfriend Scales Walls" on all my nails. To use the water decals, cut out two pieces big enough to cover full nails for your pointer and pinky. Dip it into water for 20 seconds then slide the decal off the backing between your fingertips. Then place the two decals over your nails fully and use a brush and nail polish remover to remove any excess decal.For the middle and ring fingers, cut out pieces of the decal following the lines of the pattern and then place it on the tips of your nails. Again, remove any excess with nail polish remover. You could use scissors too if you'd like too! End off everything with a good top coat and you're done! So easy right? items were sent for review Hello there!! Today I have a fun mani AND a tutorial for you! I picked out these triangle patterned nail vinyls stencils from BornPrettyStore.com to review for you guys. I have not tried stencils before and was anticipating on what I can do with them. I decided to go for a soft back ground and a strong color for the triangles. So this was what I came up with!

The tutorial is below so you may take a look!

I used Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" as the white base color. For all top coats, I used none other than Glisten & Glow "HK Girl Top Coat".

For the saran/cling wrap technique, I used all China Glaze polishes in "Something Sweet", "Light As Air", "Lemon Fizz" and "For Audrey". I chose the pastel colors that I had to create the paddle pop effect. The white base below helps to bring out the colors better.

As for the sponging over the small triangle stencils, I used a cosmetic sponge and Sinful Colors "Black On Black". I also used black acrylic paint and a liner brush that I got from BPS to outline the big triangle on my accent nail.

I really am loving how these turned out and I am pretty sure you can easily get this look by using the stencils! They were really sticky so there will be minimal bleeding of polish on the smaller triangles. Also, I found that you can reuse the stencils so that you won't be wasting your money! But do take note that after a few uses it may lose the stickiness and polishes may bleed under the vinyls.

Hello there!

I am back with a review for you guy!! I did this super easy manicure that I feel a beginner should be able to do, if you get the tools for it! In this mani, you will need a French tip guide or sticker and a nail art liner brush which you can easily get them over at BornPrettyStore.com.

For this nail look, I went all out to make use of my few favorite holo polishes. I chose Cirque "Fascination Street", piCture pOlish "Pirouette" and Color Club "Over The Moon". All these have something in common, their holos are not just any holo, but super duper strong ones! You can easily see them in the pictures below!

Alrighty readers! I am back!

It has been a pretty long while, hasn't it?! Well, I have been really busy lately so here I am back in full swing. YES, FULL SWING! And I mean with a video tutorial! I seldom do that do I, especially a pretty long one on YouTube and not just some 15 seconds tutorial on Instagram LOL!!

Getting back to the mani... Here I have a dry marble nail art that I was pretty much inspired to do becuase of IG@yorkbeauty! She basically does hella loads of dry marble and I had some feels for them so I decided to come up with some of my own :D

Here is the look that I came up with. It looks messy, but I guess that is what makes dry marbling fun right?

Now, for this manicure, I used Kure Bazaar polishes that Mom got for me from France. They're Queen and Turkoise. I do love this color combination, I mean by now you guys know I'm a big sucker for blues :P

And as always, video for the last, enjoy the step by step tutorial :D Basically in short, I did some blobbicure at the beginning then used a thin brush to create lines down and across the dots on my nail and that is about it! Tell me what you think of this video, would love to hear some feed back!

Quickly create six dots using big dotting tool on wet dark blue polish with a light blue shade 6. Straightaway use a thin nail art brush to drag polish vertically down and then across the rows 7. Hello there readers~

This is a long overdue post, my apologies! Today, I have two nail art accessories from borprettystore. I have done a few reviews of their products and you can read them HERE.

The glitter pattern 1 comes in a little container like most glitter do. There are medium sized dark pruple, bright blue and red hexagon pieces plus smaller hexagon pieces in green, pink and red.

Now, I came up with a nail art that comprises of these two items and ta-da! Read on for the tutorial~

Prep your nails

Apply base coat
Apply two coats of a base color (I used Barry M - Berry I/C)
Apply a top coat (I used Chloe and Bella Crystal Clear Top Coat)
Let dry completeyly (I waited for 15 minutes)

Water Decal

Pour some water into a cup
Remove plastic sheet from the decal
Cut out the designs you want to use
Using a tweezer, submerge the whole image into the water for 20 seconds
Place decal on your thumb and then using your pointer finger, slide the image off the white backing
Dip your finger (the nail you want to apply decal to) into the cup
Using a pair of tweezers, pick up the image and place it on your nail
Adjust position if needed
Dab water off using a piece of tissue or cloth

Glitter Placement

do this one nail at a time

Pour some glitter on a piece of paper
Drop some top coat on another piece of paper
Apply top coat to the nail
Using a very small dotting tool (or a toothpick) dip in the top coat on the paper, then pick up glitter pieces and place it on empty spaces on the nail
Repeat for all the nails
Apply another layer of top coat.

And you are done! Here is a macro shot:

I felt that the glitter are adorable, I especially love the color combination! They are event matte which is really cool! Cause usually glitters are all sparkly and glitzy, but this is something different. I thought that there should have been a bit more glitter pieces in the container considering it is USD$4.55. Otherwise, I do like this product!

As for the water decal, it is very simple to apply and use. There are even instructions at the back of the packaging which is really useful for first-time users. In addition, it is only USD$0.99 and there are so many flowers for you to use! You could have the flowers on a nail as an accent and it's totally up to you to freestyle!

The song by Katy Perry featured today is 'Thinking of You'. The lyrics to this song is really amazing and I fell in love with this song long time ago.

So, today's mani is rather simple design with hearts and cameo silhouette of a man and a woman. Here is what I came up with:

Hello all!

Today I have another BornPrettyStore review! As mentioned in previous reviews (here & here) BPS provides an array of nail art essentials for you with FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING. Now, I present to you this 12-colored rectangle rhinestones/studs!

Initially I was afraid that the rectangles are gonna be too big, but no, I can manage four studs down the middle of my nail (except thumb). There are a ton of studs here and the best part is that you could re-use them! I tried lightly wiping with a polish remover to get rid of the top coat and I could easily remove them without destroying it. So, reuse of studs = PLUS POINT(Y)!

Also, there are 12 colors for you. TWELVE. Do you want me to name them? Okay I will. Yellow, light pink, royal purple, light blue, gold, red, light green, black, dark green, magenta, royal blue and silver (as shown below in sequence).

Now moving on to the nail art that I came up with for this review!

Basically for this manicure, I made use of the rectangle studs and aligned them vertically to show a change of pattern. Read below for the step-by-step how-to for this look!

Paint all nails with a base color and apply top coat. Let dry.
Pointer & Middle: Place chevron stickers and apply second color. Remove sticker using tweezers IMMEDIATELY after application.
Pointer & Middle: Touch up mistakes and ooopsies by using a small brush with the base color and cover up. Let dry. Apply topcoat.
Ring: Get tape and remove stickiness by placing several times on your hand. Tape off half of your nail vertically. Place chevron stickers and apply second color as per point 2.
Ring: Draw a thick line next to the chevron you created. Let dry.
Ring: Apply topcoat. Quickly place the light pink rectangle stud vertically down your nail. Let dry. Apply topcoat again.
Pinky: Using a nail art liner brush, draw two thick stripes across the entire nail. Let dry. Apply topcoat.

What I used:

Base Coat: Sally Hansen Smooth and Strong
Base Color: Revlon Apricot Nectar
Second Color: OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls
Top Coat: Glisten & Glow's HK Girl

Tweezers

Hi my fellow readers!

As some of you (might) know, I am a die hard KatyCat. For those of you who aren't aware, KatyCats are the name of Katy Perry's fan ^^ So with that, I announce the KATY PERRY INSPIRED NAIL ART SERIES (#KatyPerryINAS)! This series is plainly for my own enjoyment and combining nail art with my idol (:

And to kick start the series, I have for you one of KP's older songs, Waking Up in Vegas!! This nail art was inspired by the dollars and the coins in the music video, plus the glitters! Here are some screen grabs from the music video :

And this is how the final manicure looks :D

I used the Pure Color No.10 nail art brush from Stylisnailartshop to draw on the dollar and cents with black acrylic paint. It was the first time I was using it hence the mani wasn't perfect. Nevertheless, with this series I can practice more and hopefully 'understand' the brush better :D

Oh, no no no.... I won't go without telling you there is a NAIL ART VIDEO TUTORIAL for this!

In short, here is the worded tutorial: Basecoat: Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Smooth & Strong Basecoat Pointer & Pinky: Gold glitters using two coats of N°7 - Sunrays and then dabbing on one coat of F.U.N. Lacquer - Gold Mark Middle & Ring: Two coats of OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls and drawing on dollar notes with a mix of white and green acrylic paint. Create dots with large dotting tool and OPI - Classic DS 031. Use black acrylic paint to draw $ and ¢ Topcoat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat For the thumb, it is completely up to you if you would like to go for the glitter or draw more dollar and cents!

Hello my friends! Today I have something very special! I was given the opportunity by BornPrettyStore to review a few of their products and today I am sharing with you a floral pattern water decal PLUS a nail art tutorial!

Firstly, I am reviewing the Nail Art Water Decals Transfer Stickers Fantastic Floral Pattern Sticker pattern SH10. I chose this pattern because I do like that soft look as seen below.

I have mentioned BornPrettyStore (BPS) in my other posts before and for some of you that didn't know, BPS gives free worldwide shipping and affordable/lower prices on a whole range of nail polishes to tools and other stuffs like accessories. BPS ships from Hong Kong, as I am in Singapore it takes an average of two weeks to reach me. Alright, enough of intro, let's get started with the tutorial!

Let's take a look at what we're going to do today. Here's the finished look of my manicure and what you could easily do with the water decal.

First off, start with a base coat and then apply two coats of a nude polish. I chose Butter London's Cuppa as it is such a soft shade and would go well of the soft floral patterns too. Then, remove the protective plastic from the decal.

Next, roughly make some markings to indicate the length of your nail and the cut out a triangle shape. If you're unsure about what I mean, do take a look at my YouTube video embedded below (: Then simply dip the decal using a tweezer into water and wait 20 seconds.

After that, carefully place it on your pointer finger and slide the decal out using your thumb. Before placing the decal, wet the nail you want to place the decal on. Take the decal using a tweezer and place the triangle cut-out onto your nail. You can also wet your other fingers so that you can easily adjust the position of the decal.

You may encounter a problem when your decal is over your cuticles (especially your pinky as it is smaller). Not to worry, I got this covered for you. Apply a top coat over your nail, despite the decal over your cuticles - just trust me on this one. Let the top coat dry.

Lastly, go back in with a brush with nail polish remover and remove the excess decal over the cuticles and clean around them too. And, ta-daa!

Now, talking about product. The decal is 5.5cm and 6.5cm in size, it seemed like a small patch of floral design (as you can see in the video). I am doubtful if one piece is able to use for all 10 nails fully.

However, I feel that it is better used as a part of a nail art. Like what I have done above, the soft pattern did bring out the life of a nude polish. Plus, I love the subtle colors of the print and details too. The water decal also allows you to choose which part of the pattern you want on your nail. It also very versatile as you can decide to do whatever design you want! From stripes, to wavy lines, to different shapes. The sky's the limit!

The decal was super easy to use. I would definitely recommend beginners to try water decals like this as it is simple and fast. Hassle free (:
