Today we are going a little more down the dull colors because it was raining when I was thinking what manicure to do :P

There's not much to explain about this manicure, but I will share what I used to create this gloomy look!

The base is two coats of Zoya "Tove" and then I added a coat of Wet Seal Gel Effect "Black/White" in 003, a black and white glitter in a clear base.

I then thought that it was a little too dull so I went ahead to add on a silver holo top coat, using none other than INM Nails "Silver Holographic Top Coat". Below you can see the sparse holographic topper more clearly, and who doesn't love a macro right? :D

Today I have decided to do some glitter placement! But I didn't want to spend forever on one nail so I decided to do a french manicure glitter placement manicure. And oh do I love this look so much!

I first painted the tips with Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" and made the lines more perfect by using a flat brush dipped into polish remover to correct any mistakes. I let it dry slightly and then I placed iridescent glitter pieces on the white tips.

Then I applied matte top coat over the whole design which makes it even more lovable because it makes the whole mani so real like a real nail LOL but with sparkly tips hehehe!

We have come to the very last challenge of the #WNAC2015 June! Today is about the bling bling glitters! I used loose glitter for this mani.

I wanted to try out glitter placement over the bare nail which shows the negative space. I like it very much as it can hide the free edge nicely too without any base color.

I created single chevron on each nail with black nail polish then filled in the remaining spaces with the glitter.

Here is a close up shot where you can see the glitter pieces more clearly!

It took me a very long time to do the placement and my neck hurt a lot from doing this mani LOL, but I guess it was worth it hehe

Hello there! It's time for some revival of the nail art!

I have done a glitter gradient this time around, something I haven't tried since the start of nail art and I don't know why :/ Either way I did it today!

So, this is how it turned out!

I used Three Beauties London - Glitter Gala. I never seen or heard of this brand before and thought I give it a try, I got this polish last year and somehow didn't get the chance ever to use it idky LOL.

It is basically a glitter topper in a clear base with silver, purple, black and turquoise medium small hex glitters, all of the same size. It also has shards of glitters, irregular shaped ones which are tiny and aren't a lot in the polish.

I used a sponge to dap on the glitter at the tips, so that the clear base polish is being soaked up by the sponge leaving me the glitter to play around. The last step was to pick out individual glitter and place them where I found were too bald.
I did the glitter gradient over my nail, without any base color so I felt the natural nail base went quite nicely with the glitter gradient, What do you guys think?

Today I have a long awaited swatch! I have been meaning to try this babe on but never found the right time :P Sooooo here I am doing it right now! Introducing B Squared Lacquer - Body Electric *ZAM*

Let's start off this post with a close up of the bottle shot.

As you can see it has a nice soft pink base which carries micro purple glitters and small neon pink hexes and bigger ones too. Also, there are darker purple small and medium hexes. I very much love the combination! Sweet and electrifying at the same time *winks*

The swatches are in three thin coats and topped off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat. The formula of this glitter polish is really great! Although the first coat was rather sheer on the pink base, but on the second it covered pretty well.

I could get away with two, but just did another to make it more opaque and even. There is absolutely no need to fish for any glitters at all, I swear. There is an abundance in the bottle, so don't you worry!

Not forgetting the juicy macro shot! I really am in love with Body Electric *grins* I am not the usual pink-purple girl but this one is really nice and soft and has nice brights too thanks to the glitters!

I bought this polish using my own money and thought that this polish was worth the share if you ever thought of getting it. You should hehe!
I loved it so much I had all ten nails paited with Body Electric!

Today's challenge is SPARKLE! Had quite a hard time deciding what to do for this one. I took a look at my stash and then picked out China Glaze - Glistening Snow. I mean, even the name of the polish is so apt right?

I then laid down two coats of Glistening Snow and boy the amount of sparkle is beyond infinity *drools* I then decided to give more color to it by using OPI Sher Tints. Using the brush from the bottle I created lines down my nail using the different colors and overlapping them a little.

I love that the sheer tints transformed my manicure so easily and also allowing the sparkle from Glistening Snow to also show through them. I am pretty sure I wasn't the only one who did this manicure, I must have seen it some where on Instagram before (I think!).
I must say this is a super easy mani and I would definitely recommend this to a nail newbie!

Today is St. Patrick's Day and so here is my green themed mani! Also to join in the fun of Hobby Polish Blogger's March LinkUp.

For this manicure, I did a simple water marble design using different shades of green and the topped it off with a glitter, Paws By Eddie - Cleo (reviewed here) and for the accent nail I did a full glitter using B Squared Lacquer - Tennis Court.

If you're wondering what polishes I used to marble, they are Barry M - Waikiki, Barry M - Spring Green, Revlon - Trendy, Morgan Taylor - Gotta Have Hue.

Hello there!

Firstly, my apologies for this short break. I was busy preparing for an event which I led with my committee. The event was just yesterday and I had a good rest today.

Theme of the event was Under the Sea, and the girls' dress code was black dress + blue necklace. I went online to get this pretty sea-blue turquoise necklace and then took a loooooong time to decide which polishes to match it.

I finally settled on a base color of Sally Hansen - Dive In and then a layer of glitter from Lac Attack - Jewel of the Nile which I reviewed here.

However to my dissapointment, SH Dive In is a total stainer. I actually had a peel off base coat and it still stained my nails badly. I had to resort to toothpaste scrubbing, baking soda, lemon juice and lastly Orly Cutique. It was disastrous. I took a good two hours to remove them.

On a happier note, my event is finally done and I feel more relaxed now! Keep a look on my page as I get back more to my nails~

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

It is the 31st of October, and this calls for the one and only Halloween manicure! This year I did a more challenging nail art look - the sugar skull.

I had a coat of Chloe and Bella - White Out as the base and using a-England - Camelot for the blacks to draw the nose, eyes and teeth of the skull. Then using a range of colors (Sally Hansen - Fired Up, OPI - I Can't Cope-acabana, Sally Hansen - Bubblegum Pink, Kure - Carioca) to create dots for the eyes. I followed HannahRoxIt nail art tutorial for this!

I only drew on the skulls on my thumb and ring fingers as an accent design. As for the rest of the nails, I had a coat of a-Englad - Camelot and first with one coat of Barry M - Ruby Glitter. This polish has red and black glitter suspended in a clear base. To bring out the depth of this combination, I added OPI - Today I Accomplished Zero. TIAO is a small red glitter suspended in a sheer black base.

This gave a really cool effect of darkening Barry M's Ruby Glitter and complimenting it so well. From far it does not seem obvious with the red glitter, however under artificial lighting, it looks very pretty indeed!

However my intention was not only to be pretty, but also to mimic the bloodiness of the manicure to match up to the Halloween festivity.

I love this look a lot and am pleased with my restuls! I do feel my thumb design looked like a sticker - many of my friends that it was a sticker LOL!

Well hello there pal!

Today's inspiration is based on a flag, and the first country flag that came to mind was the Union Jack! First off, I have to share with you that I am a huge British Monarchy fan *blushes*. I just find the whole essence and history of Britain so amazing.

For today's mani, I followed one of CutePolish's YouTube tutorial and added an accent glitter. For base color, I used Sephora's Formula X - Omni. As for the accent glitter, I had one layer of Sinful Colors - Queen of Beauty and then a layer of Happy Hands - I Just Blue Myself. I love how the glitter came out!

Today's theme is every girl's favorite; them bling glitter! I have been dying to use Cirque Colors' XX. It is a glitter polish in a clear base. For this mani, I simply used the sponging method for the glitter gradient and I found it very useful and a great technique too!

For my mani, I did gradients from the top down and as for the accent design, I just applied one layer of Cirque XX. The awesome one-coater black base is non other than a-England's Camelot! Enjoy them sparkles!

If you know, I had done two reviews on two polishes(Midnight & Starlight) from Chloe and Bella AND I did promise to show you the remaining FOUR polishes in a big post right? Well, here it is! Today's mega picture-heavy post stars these beauties:

First off, CORNFLOWER.

This amazing glitter topper is uh-mazing! There's so may pieces of my fave color blue hehehe! So there's bigger, smaller and teeny tiny striking bright blue square pieces. Adding on, there's very fine micro silver glitters together with dark blue tiny square pieces and some dark blue thin bar glitters! There's even some beautiful silver but not overly flashy bigger hexagon pieces plus a few pieces of yellow translucent hexagon glitters too!

There were no problems with application or formula. They were all great! Cornflower is a polish with a shimmery sheer blue base. The glitter payoff is really great, I only needed minimal dabbing which is reall awesome. Here's how it looks on it's own with one, two and three coats (no topcoat) in order:

Next, I tried Cornflower over a black polish (a-england Camelot) and a off-white polish (OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls). I normally would like glitters over black, but surprisingly for Cornflower I like the white base more as I can see the blue better.

Here is one coat of Cornflower without any top coat.

Even though I said I prefer Cornflower over white instead of black, the close-up picture over black needs some attention!!! The small silver micro glitters are really showing off really well outdoors, plus the blue looks so electrifying here *drools*

Alas, the last picture for Cornflower. I saved the last for the best *winks* Here's two coats of Cornflower over white up close and personal *heart-shaped eyes*

Now... moving on to DAFFODIL.

When I first picked up this polish the first thing that came to mind was "this is a happy polish!". I mean look at the color combo, it's just like sunshine and all the happiness revolving it.

This glitter topper is loaded with cute big yellow round glitters, big white hexagon pieces, smaller sized yellow hexagon glitter, medium sized orange-gold glitters, translucent yellow bar glitters and my fave of all - bright fiery orange small sized hexagon glitters.

The formula was great, not a problem at all! The amount of glitter is more than enough and you don't need fishing. Also, some dabbing is required to place glitters to space them out and give more variety to the glitters on the nail. Here's how it looks on it's own with one, two and three coats (no topcoat) in order:

And now let's add some colors! I used a pink-ish coral polish (Revlon - Apricot Nectar) and a black polish (a-england - Camelot). I really really loooooove Daffodil over Apricot Nectar, it just goes so well with all the glitters. Especially my fave glitter the fiery orange hexagons, it just matches so well! I chose black to show you that Daffodil has a pretty pretty shimmery base.

Here's one coat of Daffodil, and personally, I like it with one instead of two.

Next we have FREESIA.

Freesia is definitely for you purple girls out there! I mean, I don't particularly love purple that much, but well this bottle proves me otherwise!

It contains cute big yellow and purple round glitters, medium sized yellow and purple hexagon shaped pieces, a few white matte triangles, tiny purple bar glitters. All of these with a beautiful stunning purple shimmery base that flashes blue in some angles.

Hands down, Freesia has the BEST glitter pay off compared to the other polishes mentioned here. There are loads and loads of those medium sized purple hexagons, it overwhelms me! Application and formula are great, A*! Here's how it looks on it's own with one, two and three coats (no topcoat) in order:

And now, I added Freesia over black polish (a-england - Camelot) and off-white polish (OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls). You can see very clearly on my ring finger how the shimmery lilac base becomes blue under artificial lighting, amazing! Here's one coat~

Moving on with the second coat plus top coat! Here you can see what I mean by there's a lit of those medium sized purple hexagon glitters. I didn't even have to fish and I even swipe clean of one side of the brush!!

Last but not least, STARGAZER.

Stargazer is a clear based glitter topper with many interesting magenta glitter pieces. There are diamond, medium and bigger round glitters, small tiny micro glitters, short bar glitters and... stars! Also, there are a few yellow glitters too! There's the cute round yellow glitter similar to those in Daffodil and some translucent yellow medium sized hexagons.

The formula and application is great (yes again, I love this consistency of quality!) Here's how it looks on it's own with one, two and three coats (no topcoat) in order:

Let's test out Stargazer with some colors! There's blue (China Glaze - For Audrey) and the off white base (OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls). I love how Stargazer shows up well on both the colors which is really great and versatile.

After moving on to the second coat, I realise that it might be a bit too much glitter for me, I liked it better with one coat.

Overall these four polishes have great glitter, application and formula. Chloe and Bella has really amazed me with their polishes. If you knew, I have other reviews (Midnight & Starlight) from Chloe and Bella, do take a look!
