Hi there!

Today's prompt "swirls" immediately got me off doing a watermarble. I used OPI "We the Female" and "Pale to the Cheif". Watch this video to see how I did the swirl. I find that my middle nail was extraordinary!! I mean look at that! So I decided to do a macro shot to include all goodness.

...and viola, this is one of THE best manicures I've done in a long while! Doesn't this also remind you of candy cane? LOL

To be fair, I actually did a few trial runs before dipping my nail into the water. I wanted it to be as swirly as it can get just to be in line with the theme! Let me know what are your thoughts on this look! Is the design a bit too much or you're all for it?

I'm back with some marbling! Today I chose to work with all a-england polishes. I used "Her Rose Adagio" and "Wuthering Heights". I bought both of these from Mei Mei. I thought that maybe when holos from the same maker would have similar consistency and better for marbling and I was darn right!

I have a little video tutorial below for you! I started off with a coat of "Her Rose Adagio". Then I prepped my nails with a liquid latex, I used Bundle Monster's "Poli-Peel". After that I headed to my cup of distilled water and started dropping the polishes alternating.

I decided to do the oh-so-famous water marble design where I pull in strokes from the outer ring into the center. I then gently dipped my finger into the surface and then clear the polish around the pulled out my finger. I think the video would make more sense LOL.

Anyway I was very happy with how these turned out and the a-england polishes did a great great job for this look!

Today I have something aside from the A to Z challenge. I am reviewing two products from bornprettystore.com. Firstly is this really pretty paisley intricate design water decal and second is the liquid latex barrier.

I have always always wanted to try the liquid latex barrier ever since it came out in the nail world but I just never got around getting one so here I am today trying one from BPS.

So the water decal is really nice like I mentioned the design is really pretty and there was a lot of the product which was really nice and they had two designs in one sheet which was cool.

For the liquid latex, it was meant to be put around your cuticles to minimize clean up. The very very first time I tried using it, I had a lot of difficulty removing it. The latex barrier wouldn't peel off in one nice piece which was what I was expecting.

I then realised it was because I applied it too thinly around my cuticles. So, lesson learnt girls!

To demonstrate how it works best, I did water marbling. I used the similar colors as the paisley design on the water decals. I used Sally Hansen "Dive In", Miss Sporty "Purple Romance" and OPI "My Boyfriend Scales Walls".

Surprise!! I do have a video on how the liquid latex and water decal performed! Tbh I had quite a lot of problems with the liquid latex and it had a funny smell LOL. Did yours had it too? Lemme know 😂😂

Today I used a very special polish, it is ILNP "Sirene". It is a shifting polish which can see purple, green and red in different angles. It was honestly so fascinating! I don't own anything like this so I was pretty excited.

I had on one coat of black polish and then two coats of "Sirene" with a top coat. It was so gorgeous. I couldn't capture the color shigt in my pictures tho :(

Anyway, I then did a random water marble design with white and clear polishes. I used Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" and Essence "Absolute Pure".

Even tho there isn't any purple shift you can see, the green itself is rather stunning! It just looks so mysterious and bright at the same time! Super love it :D

Here's to more marbling :D This technique is one of my favourites, I just enjoy it pretty much, despite some failures!

For today there is something I have never tried before, which is water marbling using textured polishes. I am using Nicole By OPI - Sand In My Shoe and On What Grounds?

I did one coat of the yellow, Sand In My Shoe then I marbled alternating both colors and just rnandomly did some designs. I think that for textured polishes it is best not to try the flower water marble patterns as it may get kinda messy, like my pinky LOL.

Contrasting to my pointer finger design, the patterns are much clearer and distinct, don't you think? You can see the close up shot below :D

I don't own a lot of textured polishes, a few and I do like them. The Nicole By OPI Roughles are more textured than the ones that I own. It was still okay for me though! And I love the colors. Sand In My Shoe reminds me of eggs HAHA the yellow and orange just reminds me of a good breakfast! The blue is lovely too! Tell me what you think of textured polishes in the comments :)

Hello hello!

Today I have ventured out of my norms to create this manicure. I had on a base color of Jior Couture - I Can Azure You It's Fall (reviewed here) and then one coat of NCLA - Enchanted City, a beautiful holographic glitter with medium turquoise hex pieces. Lovely combination!

Anyway, I initially I wanted to do a water marble with a clear polish to see the background through, but sadly that didn't work out... So I tried the spray method.

What I did was drop white polish into my water (like how you would marble) and then use a perfume and spray it onto the surface of the polish and that breaks it apart in abstract patterns that looks amazing. Then I dip my nail in (like how you would when marbling).

IT TURNED OUT SO GOOOOOD! I am so impressed and happy with the result! Because the glitters can be seen through and the whole manicure looks so abstract-y! What do you think? Take a closer look at the macro shot collage below :D

Today I am doing a nail art challenge on Instagram which I have not participated before. The difference is that this is a weekly one, unlike the others that I've done before. So for this month's theme it is patterns and today's prompt is coral.

I haven't done water marble in a rather long time right, so I thought why not do it for today's mani? Plus water marble can be considered a pattern, with the similar fanned out design :P And here is what my nail art looks like!!

To begin with I do not own many polishes in the pink-red spectrum :/ However I am lucky to have gotten one, Sinful Colors - Island Coral. I guess even though the polish may seem to lean towards pink more, the name still fits the bill... right? :P

I did an alternate color of Island Coral and OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls. For my accent nail I decided that since corals are in the big ol' sea, why not add some blues? I picked out Sinful Colors - Be Happy and then did a water marble of alternating Island Coral and MBSW and the last drop was Be Happy.

I decided the white spaces where a bit boring so I went in with Be Happy and some dots and on the accent nail I also added dots in Island Coral. See my accent nail macro shot!

Today I have a water marble design! Haven't had one in a long time eh? So today I would be using Charlie's Rad Lacquer polishes. I used Trust, a slate blue metallic like polish and Veau's Voodoo a nice purple holographic polish.

I had a black base on for this mani, which I used a-England - Camelot. For the water marble you can see how I did it at the end of this post where I'll embed my Instagram video tutorial for you :) First let's have a look at how my mani turned out!

I overall do like this look, the only thing that bugs me is that the black undie that I had were quite visible as I was cleaning up the mess around the cuticles, the black showed through :( Sadness aside, here are some happy macros :)

Today is St. Patrick's Day and so here is my green themed mani! Also to join in the fun of Hobby Polish Blogger's March LinkUp.

For this manicure, I did a simple water marble design using different shades of green and the topped it off with a glitter, Paws By Eddie - Cleo (reviewed here) and for the accent nail I did a full glitter using B Squared Lacquer - Tennis Court.

If you're wondering what polishes I used to marble, they are Barry M - Waikiki, Barry M - Spring Green, Revlon - Trendy, Morgan Taylor - Gotta Have Hue.

Hello lovelies!

I must admit that this mani I am sharing with you is a random one :P Initially this was not the planned out nail art that I wanted to do but I guess if things are done unplanned, it isn't that bad either! So, with that, I present to you this water marble!

I used this new polishes which was part of the haul my Mom did when she went to Europe with Dad. She bought this UK brand called Miss Sporty. These polishes are rather small in size and looked cute too. It has a kind of flat wide brush but I did not try it on the nail.

Anyway, I used 471 Purple Romance, 468 Green Whisperer and 453 Popcorn for this manicure. I honestly just did random designs, like I told you this was completely unplanned!

So sorry for the bad clean up though, I was rather frustrated with myself for not being able to do what I planned in my head so yeah, please forgive me :/

I am back with a mani that I think is one of my top faves!

I have been pondering what design I should do. Something that can be done on both hands and is fast and easy, I thought for a really long time.

I finally settled on a pastel candy coloured water marble design. I used my Barry Ms that Mom got from London! Here are the polishes that I used:

L-R; Strawberry I/C, Blue Moon, Berry I/C

Out of the three, I liked Berry I/C the most as it is rather pigmented for a psatel and it has a hint of dark tone to it. Blue moon is a pale baby blue with very subtle shimmers but not so subtle under the artificial lighting seen above! Lastly, Strawberry I/C has a rather difficult formula however the pink is so sweeeeet!

And now for the whole look~

I didn't want to do water marble on all my nails so I did on my thumb and my ring fingers. And the other nails I just pained plain colors used in the marble design.

I absolutely love this look because it is so so soft and really cute too! What do you guys think?

Well hello there reader!

Today I have a mani that was inspired base on the colors of my dress. I chose to use OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Formula X - Omni.

I did a flower petals pattern for the marbling and for the ring finger I dropped polishes as usual when marbling but I didn't do any design, which shows just the rings.

Here is a close up look at my mani!

I do enjoy doing marbling, and like what many other nail enthusiasts say, it can become therapeutic too! What do you think of this look?

Hey all!

Continuing the 31 day challenge, next up is RAINBOW NAILS! I had to Google the colors of the rainbow to be double sure they were right. Sadly I didn't have an indigoshade... Anyway, here are the six polishes I used:

From left to right: Essence - Back To The 50's, Sally Hansen - Fired Up, OPI - I Can't Cope-acabana, Essie - First Timer, Essie - Avenue Maintain, Sinful Colors - Verbena.

In this manicure, I used Unicorn Puke nail decals from my nail buddy, Kay (IG@twentysixnails), who has a newly opened shop (click here!). I actually bought two stickers from her as part of my 1000 followers giveaway on Instagram and she actually gave me Unicorn Puke as a complimentary gift, how nice of her!

This is how the decal looks like, she even stamped my name on the card plus her name which is so cool! The decals were super easy to use! Just dip in water, count to 20, slide decal off and place on nail, EASY!

So you must wondering what I did after such a long introduction, right? (Although the chances of you seeing the picture below says it already!)

And yes, I did a rainbow water marble! What does rainbows remind me of? Unicorns! Hence the apt rainbow and unicorn decal. Thanks Kay for the decals, love 'em!

Well hello!

Today's challenge is ORANGE. I had a hard time deciding what to do! I finally settled on a gold and orange water marble look. I chose gold because I thought that both colors complimented each other well. I even found some matching pictures to my mani!

Basically, I painted my nails gold in Sally Hansen - Golden-I and then did a water marble pattern using orange polish Sally Hansen - Fired Up and a clear polish from Essence - Absolute Pure. The clear polish allows for the gold base to show up.

This is really good because you do not have to struggle cleaning up those gold around the cuticles, which I find really hard cause some of its glitters will still be seen around your nail.
